AeroComp

PLAN's latest study is a prospective national service evaluation run with other trainee research networks around the country. It aims to assess the prevalence of airway complications during the COVID pandemic and any associations with aerosol precautions.
This involves 4 days of prospective data collection on all adult patients receiving general anaesthesia for non-obstetric indications within a locally-selected window within November 2021.
As with all PLAN projects, anyone who collects data for a patient that is included in this study will be named as a PubMed-indexed collaborator on all resulting publications.
AeroComp has recently finished recruiting and we are busy analysing the data.
